A Vampire's Unlikely Alliance... Tena Stetler
Review by Barj Jun 11, 2018
The third book in this series and I found it to be a well-written story that kept my interest throughout the book. This is Stefan and Brandy's story, Stefan Talltree is a Native American vampire and an ex-assassin for the Vampire Council and Brandy Shaughnessy is a Park Ranger. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

A Captivating Romance
Review by jeepwonder Jun 13, 2018
The author carefully blended two genres to create a heart warming tale. It was done in such a way that it avoided most of the predictability, and gave the reader a reason to turn the pages. The pacing was fast enough to keep my attention, but slow enough to include details and allow the characters to develop as the plot progressed. What would any modern women do to adapt to such a sudden shift in the world around her? How would the people around her notice the differences? So many stories … Read More

Rescuing Lara ... Lyn Horner
Review by Barj Jun 11, 2018
Book one in the Romancing the Guardians series and I will be reading the other books in this series as I enjoyed reading this one. Lara Spenser guards one of seven prophetic scrolls held by the Council of Guardians, and Connor O’Shea is an ex-Special Forces soldier who is Lara's chauffeur. I would recommend this book. I received a copy of this book but I also bought it.

Secret societies, fae lore and special forces soldier
Review by lacrimsonfemme May 13, 2018
Secret societies, fae lore and special forces soldier... all intriguing elements to capture my attention. New to me author Ms. Horner kicks off the story slow and quickly picks up momentum with intrigue, betrayal and murder. Lara Spenser is a woman who is at her wits end. She is hiding in a country trying to recover from a tragic car collision she survived but did not walk away from. Stuck in a wheelchair and being hunted down for a treasured family relic is not how she planned her life to … Read More

Charming tale of a love longer than a lifetime
Review by jeepwonder May 26, 2018
This was a charming tale of love. A love from the past, and the present. While that can sound confusing the author strove to entertwine the two and weave them together into one tale. The characters had normal foibles, the heroine often found herself around people challenged with drinking issues for example. The casual style and plot development worked well together, along with secondary characters that filled in any gaps as they came along. Whether you believe in reincarnation or not, human … Read More

Heartfelt and Emotional
Review by sinfullywickedbookreviews May 17, 2018
Daisy Sugarbush is not your average girl. She rather be fixing cars and unclogging toilets with her father than staying at home with her mother learning how to cook and clean. She always thought she should have been born a boy as anything domesticated surely did not interest her. Daisy could never reach her mother’s high standards in learning how to be the perfect wife and mother. All the wisdom she learned, she learned through her father. Her father was her anchor up until he became sick, … Read More

Flawed but enjoyable
Review by Arec Rain May 18, 2018
A story with an interesting premise, despite not being very original. Initially interested due to the heroine’s description, it became evident early on that the synopsis wasn’t joking about her being foul-mouthed. While some readers may not take issue with it, it can be too much for others. Despite this, the heroine remains funny and witty. That being said, the plot is difficult to believe. Many readers may get to a certain part and say “well that’s not how that works in the real world … Read More

A complete novella
Review by Arec Rain May 18, 2018
Despite its small size, this novella surely packs a punch. Stuffed full of raw emotion, this novel follows childhood friends that come together later in life to find their childhood crush has changed. The novella moves rather quickly, as novellas tend to do, but lacked for nothing and felt like a complete story in the end. With complex characters, a developed emotional plot, and a romance worth rooting for, fans of childhood friends-to-lovers with adore this historical romance.
