Ellie West is just a normal girl. At least that’s what she thinks until an attempted abduction reveals innate paranormal abilities that were hidden within her, plunging her head first into a world she never knew existed. She quickly learns that her real family has hired a panther shifter, Jack Ferris, to bring her safely home, which is easier said than done. Now they’re on the run, taking refuge with a reclusive clan in the Appalachian mountains and trying to ignore their overwhelming sexual chemistry, in order to survive this secret world full of hidden destinies, family betrayals, and ruthless assassins.
The Panther's Lost Princess is the first book in a planned series based around the members of an elite paranormal agency known as Redclaw Security. Although there will be mention of various characters across the series, each story is a standalone.

Another abandoned baby story - done right!
Sep 27, 2017
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. This site has had some amazing 'shifter' ebooks for review and generally speaking I've enjoyed most of them. But of course some are better than others. This book was among the better ones, the author was skillful at introducing characters, developing them so you felt well acquainted then adding another layer of their persona - shifting in a way that helped me suspend reality as I read. The characters were ones I could sympathize with, and that fit into Read More

Lost princess with an amazing twist
Oct 6, 2017
I couldn’t put this book down! I was hooked from the very start. It had amazing characters, a fantastic plot, and amazing pacing. Truthfully, I was nervous to start this story because I have read so many different lost princess stories. At first, I thought that Ellie, the main character, was going to be this annoying, bratty, blonde haired, blue eyed, skinny chick that I could not envision myself as. Thank god, I was wrong. Ellie is this amazing powerhouse of a woman. She is funny, fierce, Read More

Lions, leopards and bears, oh my!

New to me author Ms. Dean hooks me into her fantasy world starting from the first page. Struggling to survive Ellie West is pining her dreams on a singing audition. Working as a waitress in a little cafe isn't her dreams, but it keeps her housed in a tiny apartment of her own. With no one to call family, Ellie only has two friends in the world - her boss and co-worker. How depressing is this? What is sad is that this story plays across most countries and many people are in the same situation Read More

Where can I get a handsome panther mate of my own?
Nov 16, 2017
**Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book.** Jack's mission to recover a lost shifter princess leads him to a woman who doesn't even know who she really she. Telling her that she's missing royalty is hard enough for her to believe, but revealing the fact that she's a shifter may be too much for her to accept. Letting she secret slip that she's also his mate...well, that's a box he isn't sure how to open. When a hot guy asks Ellie out, she thinks her luck is about to change. Read More

Another awesome shifter romance
Oct 14, 2017
Oh my gosh this was so sexy. The day that Ellie met Jack nothing in her world made sense any more, she was not the person she thought she was. The forbidden attraction between them made Jack struggle to do the right thing, or was it really the right thing? Jack does not realize just how feisty and determined Ellie is to become who she wants to be, not what others expect her to be. Thank you Reading Alley and McKenna Dean for allowing me to read this and write a honest review.

The Panther’s Lost Princess (Redclaw Security #1) by McKenna Dean

The Panther's Lost Princess is the first book in the Redclaw Security series, and I can't wait to read more! We start off with Ellie, a waitress who wants to enter a singing competition. She is all alone, but has her job and her friends. Things start looking up when Mr Hot Stuff turns up at the diner where she works, and seems interested in her. Mr Hot Stuff, otherwise known as Jack, is having a dilemma though. Ellie is his fated mate, but he has a job to do, which involves handing her over to her Read More
