Short, enjoyable romp
Jun 27, 2015
NIGHT MUSIC is a short, enjoyable romp into Tara Fox Hall's paranormal world. Krys Markham stayed at the resort for her vacation in a bid to heal herself emotionally by immersing herself in happy family memories. However, late at night, she heard the most beautiful music coming from her neighbor's place, and she couldn't help but be intrigued. Who could make such beautiful music? Krys's emotional pain is wonderfully detailed and vivid, making me sympathize with her almost immediately. The story Read More

Hi Ashia, I'm glad you enjoyed the novella. Night Music is a short novella based in my Promise Me world, a way to sample the series and my writing style without commitment :) But yes, I was limited on wordcount, so there is not a lot of background in Night Music, and its a straight paranormal HEA romance with not a lot of complexity. Please check out Promise Me and Broken Promise, the first 2 books in the series, here on Reading Alley if you're interested in more about the vampire hierarchy. While vampires move freely within their own subworld, they are not common knowledge in the regular human world in the books. The series builds book by book, so reading book 1Promise Me is necessary to understand book #2, Broken Promise. Thank you again for reviewing!

Vampire romance novella that is a good light fast read...

Night Music by Tara Fox Hall starts out with Krystin going to Letchworth State Park in NY to come to terms with recent losses in her life. While there her attention is caught by the haunting music being created by her neighbor, David. David is also dealing with major life changes and feels drawn to Krystin as she does to him. They connect immediately but must deal with the reasons they both are there to resolve before than can begin a life together. If you like Contemporary Vampire Romance and Read More

Thank you for the review! If you are ever in the NorthEast, I hope you get a chance to visit Letchworth. The park's locations described in Night Music are real, and very romantic and inspiring.

I was surprised when I started to read this story because it was so short (43 pages). However, this story was a prime example of romantic leaps of faith and curiosity. I am assuming that this is just a small part of a novel because this plot definitely has LOTS of room to grow. I really enjoyed reading this and will be purchasing the book if there is one (my fingers are crossed).

Thank you for the wonderful review! I'm sorry to tell you that Night Music is not part of a larger book. The main characters, mortal Krys and vampire David, show up in the latter books of the Promise Me series which will publish later this year and in 2016, when the series is slated to end. The vampire Devlin Dalcon, mentioned as a minor character in Night Music, is one of the major characters in this series. Thank you again for reading! :)

Hooks me in!
Jul 11, 2015
I love me some vampires! Fantastic paranormal world! Wish there could be more. Krys is emotionally and physically wounded. David came at the right time! Interesting what David did for Krys; don't think I've read anything like it before. Light, fast read that hooks me in! Would love to read more in this series.
